The fundamental principle of Advance Savings Credit Union is democratic ownership. Every owner in good standing has one vote in the decision –making process that governs ASCU.
As an Owner in good standing, you could also play an integral role in the governing of ASCU by offering to sit on the Board of Directors or ASCU Committees. Be a part of the present and future of ASCU by inquiring on how YOU could be an active part of this dynamic financial institution on the grow! Board Criteria To be eligible to run as a Director you must be:
1. I am 19 years of age, or older.
2. I am an individual.
3. I am an owner of Advance Savings Credit Union.
4. I am NOT bankrupt.
5. I am NOT an employee of Advance Savings Credit Union, Credit Union Central of New Brunswick or the Credit Union Stabilization Fund.
6. I am NOT an auditor of Advance Savings Credit Union or a member of the firm of accountants of which the auditor is a customer/owner.
7. I am NOT a solicitor of Advance Savings Credit Union.
8. I am NOT employed in the Civil Service whose official duties are concerned with the affairs of Advance Savings Credit Union.
9. I do NOT have a loan with Advance Savings Credit Union that is more than three months in arrears.
