Baggin' It for the Food Banks is an annual fundraising event that Advance Savings, along with OMISTA, PSE & Rexton, in conjunction with C103.1/XL96.9, participate in to help raise donations for local food banks. Staff from all Credit Unions and C103.1/XL96.9 volunteer to help bag groceries at the local Co-op stores in Moncton, Petitcodiac, and Rexton for a cash or food donation, with all proceeds going to benefit the local area food banks. This year’s Bagging it for the Food Banks was held on Saturday, October 20th and raised $2061, giving a total of over $13,000 for the past 3 years. Pictured here presenting a cheque to Bertha Darling, Food Depot Alimentaire (left) in the amount of $1240.52 are Jennifer Hamilton, PSE; Trisha Leaver, OMISTA; and Ann Walters, Advance Savings. The balance of the cash donations remained in the Rexton and Petitcodiac areas. |
