    
ASCU Bursary
If you’re thinking about going to university, then you know that it can be very expensive. We want to help!
ASCU recognizes that promoting education, through the provision of financial assistance to qualified students, is important. In order to do our part to help you as you prepare to go to university or college, we’ve created a bursary. Each year we will give up to 10 bursaries valued at $500. This bursary is available to ASCU owners, or family members of an owner, who live within the service area of ASCU and have been accepted into a full-time program at a university or community college.
Requirements
1. One of applicant/parent/guardian will be an Owner of Advance Savings Credit Union.
2.The applicant must live in the Advance Savings Credit Union service area and must be accepted into a full-time program at a university or community college.
3. The applicant will write a letter outlining their:
a) Community involvement
b) Achievements
c) Future plans & goals
4. The applicant will provide an essay to a maximum of 1000 words on: “What makes Advance Savings Credit Union the better option for your banking needs?”
5. The applicant will provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher/employer.
6. The applicant will provide a transcript of their marks.
7. The applicant will provide an acceptance letter from the institute they are planning to attend.
The deadline for applications is May 15th of the year of application.

The Credit Union Harry M. Daley Memorial Bursary
This bursary was established in recognition of one of the founding fathers of the Credit Union movement in New Brunswick. Eight bursaries valued at $750 each will be awarded.
